Skye, an iPhone app currently in private testing, aims to redefine how people interact with AI on their smartphones. Even before its official launch, it has gained notable traction online, drawing interest from investors and reportedly attracting “tens of thousands” of users to its waitlist. This early momentum suggests a growing demand for a more AI-integrated iPhone experience.

Agentic Homescreen Concept

Rather than relying on traditional apps or chatbot interfaces, Skye is building what it calls an “agentic homescreen.” This approach uses iOS widgets to deliver AI-driven functionality directly on the user’s home screen, making interactions more seamless and continuous.

Personalized and Context-Aware Features

Through its widget-based system, Skye offers ambient intelligence tailored to each user. It can provide insights related to weather, personal context, health, and daily activities. Additional capabilities include drafting email responses, assisting with meeting preparation, sending reminders, and detecting suspicious bank transactions. The app also promises location-based recommendations, offering useful information about nearby businesses, neighborhoods, and attractions.

Data Integration and User Control

Much of Skye’s functionality depends on data accessed through user-authorized connections. This allows the app to deliver highly personalized insights while maintaining user consent over what information is shared.

Strong Investor Interest and Funding

Despite not yet launching publicly, Skye’s parent company, Signull Labs, has already secured significant financial backing. According to an SEC filing, the startup raised over $3.58 million in pre-seed funding in a round that closed in September 2025. PitchBook estimates the company’s post-money valuation at $19.5 million.

Founder Background and Industry Support

The creator, known online as signüll and identified as Nirav Savjani through public filings, has a background that includes work at Google and Meta. Early investors reportedly include major firms such as Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), True Ventures, SV Angel, and others. Offline Ventures has also listed Signull Labs in its portfolio.

Growing Buzz and Future Launch Plans

Since announcing Skye on X, Savjani has continued promoting the app and discussing its development publicly, including appearances on podcasts. While an exact release date has not been confirmed, the app is expected to roll out to waitlisted users soon. The strong early interest indicates that Skye could play a role in shaping the future of AI-driven smartphone experiences.
